5- volt vs. 2-volt pre amps?

alright so im looking into getting an indash dvd player and most of the hu have 2-volt preamp out puts and there arent many with 5 volt pre amp out puts. what should i do. im pretty sure its better to have 5-volt preamps because it will have more clarity right? well can everyone chime in and let me know if it really matters if it is 2 or 5 volts.

Higher pre out voltage will reduce the noise in your system. Higher the better as long as your amp likes higher voltage input.

If you really like the ones with 2 volt you could look into a line driver which would give you same if not better effect than the 5 volt.

Either get a what ^^ said or you can get an EQ.. majority of those have atleast 5v, i'd say most around 8v

Theres also a lot or combined EQ line drivers. But EQs arent excatly the best thing for someone who is new into audio though IMO.

If you are running solid amps... The pre-out voltage shouldn't really matter.
