I plan to add another type r 12" to my system and also some alpine speakers to my car, but i have stock alternator battery and big3 wires. Would it be necessary to upgrade all those or just only some of those?

subs dont mean crap, what amp do you have, what brand, how many RMS watts, what car, how many amps is your stock alt

Well i was planning on upgrading the amp to 1000 watts rms. right now for 1 type r its 500 watt rms alpine amp. Idk the amps of the alternator but probably not that good its a 1998 mitsubishi mirage de

i was just looking it up and i think it said eighty amps

its prolly a 100 amp alt, and the amp brand means alot, a diablo audio amp rated at 1000w rms really pushes close to 1400

and a lanzar or legacy amp rated at 1000 watts prolly pushes around 400

good amp brands include

stetsom, sundown, diablo audio technologies (i run a dat), rockford fosgate, zapco, JL, and a few others

but any way i ran 2 diablo 1000 watt amps off a stock 100 amp alt

so you should be fine for a while at least

Alpine is a good amp right? If i power it correctly meaning get the right amps will my car be able to run it with no problems that is what i meant.

yes alpine is fine

when wired right with 0 gauge it should be fine on stock
