Shuriken battery advise..

Shuriken said there standard battereies would not work as a starter battery, but isn't Shuriken and Kinetik made in the same factories? Has anyone used a shuriken as a starter battery, and if so have you ran into any problems?

I believe the cases where not designed to hold up to engine compartment temps, however I do remember someone on here running a Shuriken battery under the hood with no problems.

if shuriken and kinetik are made in the same factory then yse i have a kinetik 2000 as a starting batt with no problems at all.

Shuriken does make a battery now for under the hood. I forget the model number off the top of my head.

yeah i've seen them before, and they don't come with the typical Shuriken price tag.

I called and they told me the same thing. My guess is if something happens to the battery and it was under the hood, they won't warranty it.

guess it depends on where you buy it.

I can warranty any shuriken batt regardless of where it was installed.
