My Setup, Any Suggestions?

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee with the following setup.

Amp (Mids) : Kicker 08ZX350.4

Amp (Sub) : Alpine MRP-M500

Speakers (Mids Front) : 2 x Alpine SPR-17C

Speakers (Mids Rear) : 2 x Polk DB651

Speakers (Sub) : Alpine SWR-1242D

Box: Bassworx HPR12G

I am looking for any tips or advice or items I should change to give me system the best possible sound. I replaced my previous front door speakers which were Polk DB525's with the Alpine SPR-17C's. I don't if I am just crazy, but it seems like the Polks sounded a bit better. It could be my doors because they are hollow inside so a lot of air escapes. It seems the mids have trouble handling higher bass and I had to set my high pass so high because they were getting distorted. Is my amp strong enough to handle the mids because the Alpines are rated at 100 watt RMS and the Kicker amp is rated at 65W RMS x 4 and 95W RMS x 2, but they are currently wired to 4 ohm. Could I wire all my mids to 2 ohm to get better sound? Also, I am thinking about purchasing an equilizer. I watched the video with the 3sixty 2's and I was very impressed, but that is a little out of my price range. Thanks.

im not surprised the polks sounded better. if you want some great midbass look at image dynamics. even the cheapest comp set sounds great.

building your own box will help a lot. you could pay home depot or somewhere to make the cuts and you can just glue it together.
