how to connect my amp??

im not to sure about how to connect my amp to my car, i was looking around and THINK i know what to do, i found this site, please tell me if this sounds about right for what im doing. http://www.caraudiohelp.com/how_to_install_a_car_amp/how_to_install_a_car_amp.htm

Thats pretty correct....... Where do you live, maybe an fellow SMD member lives near you and wouldnt mind helping you install everything if your not sure about it.

i love those step bits, they do a sweet job makeing holes

and make sure to run your power wire down the same side that your battery is on, if its on passenger side u can find a grommet or somethin to run the wire threw or drill a hole somewere around the air box

but if its on the drivers side theres usally a grommet u can go threw thats already there to use

and run your rcas on opposite side of power wire, i made this mistake when i first started and got bad engine noise, but u can run remote wire and speaker wires(if your doing a mids n highs amp also) down the same side as rcas, thats how i got mine done and no problems with it at all

its not that hard to do, just take ur time and do it right so u dont slip up and do something bad, i tryed to hurry one night when putting a system in my bro n laws blazer n i had him put his skid plates back on while i wired up the amp n sub and he ran a screw right down the middle of the power wire lol

so take your time, and u will have alot cleaner install too

oh, and that site u posted is pritty correct on what to do

and just make sure the rear ground wire is good, take some sand paper and sand were your going to put your ground at till u see the metal show and your good to go

i think my buddy ran a run of 4guage for me one day cause i was to tired to do it myself and he only charged me like $20 so it aint that bad

and maby they can show u how, if u can try to hang around local shops n see how they do stuff and u will learn alot, thats how i kno what i do now, and smd.com is a great place full of info on how to do things

i live in ohio around the columbus area.. probably not too many people from SMD live around here lol
