She has used it for school and I use it for the TermLab. Its great for surfin' the net and wordprocessing programs like Microsoft Excel, Word, & Powerpoint. She uses Office regularly. It is not a gaming laptop though so don't expect awesome graphics or lightning fast speed, but its a great item for the money. I'm thinking I paid around $800 for mine new from Dell. That included an upgraded Microsoft software package. At $400 its a steal.
