ChevyBoy
ok, the rca's have an rms rating too (which is in volts). that 8v or 10v is the rms rating, just like an amp does 100 WATTS rms. if your amp cant handle the 10v rms that the eq gives out, the amp inputs will be fried. i know i wanted an epic-160, but it puts out 10v i believe, and my amp can only handle 8. Guest Nismofreak
o I get you man...So my hifonic amp puts out only 6 volts...what would be a better eq?
ChevyBoy
the amp doesnt put out the rca volts, the eq does and the head unit does. the amp only takes it until you hook up rca's to the output. whatever the amp can handle coming in, go with something that matches it. ChevyBoy
it appears that it can only handle 6 volts. check your manual just to make sure. and if thats the case, find an eq with 6 volt preouts.
