I'm tryin to put a better system in my truck but i dont have much room to work with. Its a 89 chevy k1500 standard cab. My plan is to take out the bench seat and put in two bucket seats with a console between them. The questions i have is my design. I plan to stick some subs in the console then have a raised fiberglass/glass protective layer that will prevent the subs from being damamge from passenger ignorance. If i do it like that then will it distort the sound quality or will it be fine?

You could use speaker grilles, it just wouldn't be comfortable if you're using it as an armrest. I think plexiglass affects output somehow

im thinking bout port up subs forward maybee get louder. op i just modified a pro box for two tens. the sealed one is two hatchback boxes fixed back to back. i had two 10" w3's on 600 watts and it would flex my doors. just someything to ponder over when you plan
