Quick woofer wiring question

I have:

(2) 12" Rockford Fosgate HX2s (4 ohm DVC)

and

Boss CX950 Chaos Extreme Series 2-Channel Class AB amp

I have them wired up like this:

I'd like to drop the impenance if I can do it safely.

Rockford's wiring wizard offers 4ohm and 1ohm diagrams for this setup.

is there any other way to get more power out of this equipment?

if that boss is 1 ohm stable then run them at 1 ohm, the amp will make more power at 1 ohm than 4

Nope, it says it's not 1ohm stable. Just 2 and 4.

Is this something that can be done with the gains set low or would it blow immediately.

I hate this POS amp!!!

If your amp is 1 ohm stable, then you can run your subs at 1 ohm. Just wire the subs parallel ( positive to positive, negative to negative) on each sub then the same from one sub to the next. It's good to double check your ohm load with a multimeter. Check 12volt.com for wiring diagrams and other info.

P.s. I'm running (2) 4 ohm Alpine type r's at one ohm. Just a tip though at low ohms you will get more power, but at high ohms you will get more clarity.
