nicor6
Errmm there is a little something that i am a lil bit confused about..Which is the best way to make your sub go louder?? to tune the enclosure real low?? (32ish) or above?? i mean get real loud and picking all notes from the music??
Andrew2944r
Depending on the enclosure mostly, I tune everything to 30hz no matter but thats my preference. Quote Team Ampere Audio

nicor6
well doesnt the enclosure tuning frequency play a role on how loud you want to go??
CaptainzPlanetz
Well if you want to get louder on the meter, it is usually much easier if you tune higher, thats why you see some of these guys with 170's burping at 55-65Hz, though that kind of box would be poop for a daily application. For daily tuning around 30-35Hz the only thing you can really do is use better subs and more power and/or build different type's of boxes such as a Single reflex Bandpass, or a 6th order bandpass, can make you louder with the same equipment. EricR
Like Andrew it depends on the enclosure. If you tune it low it will be loud on low notes, tune it higher and you will hit better numbers but wont sound too good on music. Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? nicor6
Thanks guys! I am going daily but when it is tuned around 34..Does the sub still pick up all the bass notes in a song?? or just frequencies thats in that range??
pontyg6
yeah youll be good with 34 you will pick up a good range of notes with that tuning Quote 2006 Pontiac G6 Audioque 2200 2 10" DC Level 3s 142.5db legal
skittlesRgood
find what your cars resonate frequency is and tune to that. thats the "easiest" way to get loud. another way is to just throw a 12k at the subs. they will get plenty loud then Quote If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude.
