box flex

i have a 4 cube box with 2 kicker L5solo baric dvc2 (2x30x17 port with a 1.5" wide port brace) and the top of my box flexes like an half inch. so i put a piece of 1/2 " allthread in the center of the box and since i have done that my bass levels off my head unit is older and vol goes to 30 and i play at 20 and compete at at 25-28 but since the allthread my bass levels off at about vol 17 would the brace reduce my bass please help i have a nother show in 2 weeks thanks

i think hes talking about the surface that you mount your subs on.....2 or sometimes more layers is better..

well i figured out why my bass leveled out i pulled out my subs and i was gonna take the brace out and try it again to see how it sounds but then i had the sub wired wring it was pos.vc1 and neg vc2 and now it hits like it should thanks for the info tho i prob will do another layer on the top thanx
