basebalz13 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Share Posted May 18, 2010 So I think through some testing of like 10,000rms+ Jacob and Brandon started cracking the triple joint, so needed to recone. We decided to "try" and blow it up. We free aired the sub hooked up to a 1500D at .5 ohm wide open, with HU wide open. Playing a song that dipped into the 20's. We did that for about 5 minutes non-stop...wouldnt blow. Then proceeded to play a straight 20hz test tone. Still wouldnt blow until finally Brandon flipped it upside down on the test bench...to keep the coil from moving. Well then the sub just started hoping around on the test bench. Finally put it on the floor and stood on it. This whole event lasted around 20-30 mins of NON STOP ABUSE. I was pretty impressed :dontknow: Shitty vid from crackberry, didnt have the camera.
