IH8PunkRok
Bolts or screws, and I am planning on a clamshell also, what's your tuning or are you goin sealed? 4th word of his post id use bolts to mount it to the vehicle. as for the 2x4 thing, ive seen it done before. the outside is all 2x4 with a layer or two of mdf for the inside. bigjoe302boss
Oh and as far as the frame goes you can do 2X4s and make a box to slide in so you can do most of the work outside of the van and then just screw to the frame and seal off the edge from there Quote dc lvl 4xl 12 kicker zx1500 2 sets of kicker ds6.5s optima yellow top (extra batt) with big 3 1/0 guage and 3 150amp anls eclipse cd5000 headunit
extremepsi
i wanted to use the 2x4s as the box and just have the baffles be mdf. this way the cube will always be the same just different faces of sort. ive seen most put mdf over the 2x4s but i was wondering if its really necessary if i put fiberglass over to make it smooth. i will most likely be going sealed due to not knowing how to calculate a port. i usually use the internet for boxes this is my first really big build
extremepsi
but i still think going sealed with 32 12s should still move some air. might also make it easier on subs as soon as i find someone willing to sell me some lol
