k3n12ock Posted May 22, 2010 Report Share Posted May 22, 2010 I get this crackling sound from my tweeters. It didn't happen until I changed out my dash kit (yeah I know, weird eH?) I've changed RCA's, wires are ran on opposite sides, changed the grounds and everything. I have not grounded the HU (older Alpine CDA-7893) or the HU RCA's. Will try it tomorrow. That crackle sound is there when the HU is on AUX (volume at 0) when its on CD and radio, all with volume at 0 so.. Running it through a visual o-scope will show a straight line. It will at least give you an idea if the noise gets amplified. Quote Need an install? No luck for me.
