rival904
I guess I tightened the bolts on the ibar to much and ripped the threads out, anyway to fix this or do I just gotta buy a new set? even with them hand tight the ring terminals still slide around a good bit so it didnt seem like a good connection Quote 2004 Yellow F150 STX 4x4 Single Cab 2 Yellow DC Power 270SP's Alts 4(and counting) XS Power 6500's 4 DD3515s Supercharged 53cu.ft 4th order blowthrough 8 DD M1b's 6 Selenium 8's 2 Selenium ST350s 154.1 @ 41hz Legal Burp Build Log

I put washers under my ring terminals with the same diameter as the bolt to solve this problem. So far so good.

-Hobby-
Look at the bottom of one of the terminal posts. If the dia of the hole in your ring terminal is larger that that you will pull the threaded insert out of the Ibar. I bought large flat washers and drilled a hole in it to match the one in the terminal post. You can see them under my ring terminals. This wont fix your problem unfortunately. I found out the hard way just like you did. This was my solution when I got the second set. Edited May 29, 2010 by -Hobby-
rival904
so terminal, washer, ring, then the batt post? -Hobby-
so terminal, washer, ring, then the batt post? Yup. Just make sure the washer has the same dia hole as the one in the bottom of the post. Its either that or use the post with an after market terminal attached to it and attach the ring terminals to it. rival904
If I go that route Ill just get the Knu terminals with the 3 1/0 in/out but those are expensive I guess Ill give it a few days to and see if Nathan drops in and says anything, although Im pretty sure his wont be a "warrantied" item.
