kandiman71874 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 (edited) ok, we need to step back here and think about principles here for a sec, springs support weight, shocks/struts do nothing but dampen the bouncing motion after a bump has been hit while driving or help a vehicle keep from swaying and return back to a level ride after going around a corner and dampen/stop the inertia of the bounce. with this being true, it appears that you need springs, not struts or a load enhancing piece such as bags or even air shocks in this case if the rears shocks/struts are not of a mcpherson design.
