manofthehour Posted June 8, 2010 Report Share Posted June 8, 2010 I'm getting a second battery and doing the big 3 next week and need to get some questions out so I know what I'm doing... To hook up the second battery you hook the positive from the car battery to the new one, and ground the new one in the trunk. I have a bunch of 4 gauge wire I would like to use, or should I get 0 gauge (I'm using 0 gauge for the big 3 so I can just buy extra)? I have a stock alt and the big 3 will have been done before the new battery is installed. Do I run a wire from the alt to the battery in the trunk? Sorry if these are noob questions, but hopefully someone can help me out so I can get it right the first time.
