Gain setting

Hi.

Ive been trying to set my gain since i blew my tweeters some time back ago. But failing to get a hold of a DMM with O-Scope it looks like I have to try the DMM-Voltage way. The setting with hearing I find a bit "unreliable" and my hearing is not what it used to be.

The forumla I'm not 100% sure of, even after looking at hundreds of website. V=sq(watts * impedance). Is it "max" watt, continous watt or just about watts ? So i settled for what Pioneer(premier) say my amp is giving out in continous.( 14.4v, 1x600 W ( 100Hz, 2Ohm )

After calculating what voltage my amps should give out, V=sq(watts * impedance)I came to conclusion that it should be 34,6V.

So i unhooked my speakers, put my stereo to about 3/4 of volume, all EQ settings etc. to flat/zero, 50Hz -0db testtone on repeat, all good to set it.

To my surprise i couldn't reach the volt i was aiming for. I got to 26,7V at max. Clearly there have got to be something wrong.

I've gone over all the settings, tried with 2 different testtones, and still i cant go above 27V on my DMM.

Is there anyone who can please tell me whats wrong, what I'm doing wrong, without laughing at me too much ?

what amp are you using make sure your calculating at for the proper ohm loads

and if still cannot reach the proper voltage with gain use a bit of bass boost to increase

it if you have to use more then id say 1/4 bass boost time for a new amp. be clipping the shit out of it

Ive Calculated so many times now that im certain of it. My subs get 1 amp each, dual 4 ohm vc parallel to 2 ohm.

Ive tried uping up the hz, but using the bass boost is not something i want to use. Maybe a new amp like u say.

Might it be something with my battery? Its not been good the last few months, and ive been looking for a new one. But so far i haven't been able to find XS Power dealers in europe.

Today i couldnt start my car, even thouhg theres power on my it. Might be going dead, broken cell or something.
