BASS EQ

Hey guys! I have been checking on a hifonics BXI2610 and i know this may sound noob but i need some more clearance bout this..Well on the amp there is the knob that is for "bass eq"..If you are going to use the remote bass knob in front..is it necessary to adjust the one on the amp?? or its just the same as the remote?? i hope i made myself clear! Thanks

Yes, gain match the amp to your headunit, then use the remote knob depending upon the song you are listening to.

**Edit, think you mean the bass EQ on the amp? It is usually a boost at 45 hz. It is not related to the remote gain knob that goes up front.

Yup!! the one on the amp!! So its not related to the remote bass?? they are two separate things??

I dunno if im right..but i think its the bass boost knob?? and HIFONICS use it as BASS EQ?? someone correct me if i am wrong??

yes there are bass boost remotes, and gain remotes, easy way to tell, turn the knob up to halfway, unplug the remote cable, and find out whether or not the amp gets louder or quieter. if it gets louder, it is a gain knob. if it gets quieter it is a bass boost knob.
