Freshman6969
alright so aside from my shitty google sketch up skills this is AN IDEA i had, i really wasent sure what to do with the port but thats kinda how i want it long width wise no more then 30-35 wide and no more then 16 or 17" tall, and lets say around 15-20 inchs deep, i had NO idea what to do with the port so dont mind what i did from top from front looking at port opening then from the side looking into the box any other port ideas are welcome, also just to recap.... This is for a DC 15" Level 4 with a Level 5 coil and spiders, putting anywhere from 1200-2000watts to it roughly still have yet to get an amp so shooting for 3.5-4.5 cubes, Tuned to 35-37hz, if anyone can either draw me up a rendering like above with a actull port and give me some mesurements of all the pieces thatd be nice Quote Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k! Why would you EVER WANT flex?huh?...flex is what can make the lows lower and more air being pushed correct? Alex K
the port is not that easy unfortunatly. I think the actual piece itself is about 8 or 9 inches. when you measure a port you have to measure down the center, and then up through the center, taking into account the .75 piece of mdf, and the length of te middle to the inside of the actual box. it's confsing - ill have to show you a picture of the inside of your box. someone else confirm? Alex K
im pretty sure thats how the length is measured. you want to measure down the middle when measuring length, it's weird i know. But then again I could be wrong, as im pretty new to box designing anything else let me know. Quote 2006 Nissan Z Track. Freshman6969
Long Version:alright so today i got a pm on caco from armymp90099, he offered me a box design, told him what i want, pmed me back saying the port wouldn't be big enough having it along the bottom like i wanted it, OH WELL! , anyways he got back to me a few minutes ago with a sexy ass looking box, but i just want double check everything, make sure everything matches up and it'll be how i want it, im waiting on a pm back for exact tuning, port area, and the cubic footage, ill edit this when i get that. Lazy version: I need the measurements on this box double checked to make sure the cubic footage adds up/port area adds up, and so the tuning is correct, will post supposed cubic feet, tuning, and port area Pics: again thanks to armymp90099 on caco for this design! also if you cant put feet into inchs your dumb Edited July 8, 2010 by Freshman6969 Quote Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k!
