Well I'm trying to decide which will be best for my system. I could sell my d3400 that is under the hood and replace it with a d1400 along with a pair in the back. I'm not familiar with 14v so not sure how it would work. If I kept my 3400 and got a pair of 3100's in the back, in theory I would have enough batt power for around 12k watts, in theory.

But, since the 14v batts will be charging around 16v will the amps be pulling the same amount of amperage as they would at 14v just at a different voltage? Going to be running around 6k so if the 3 d1400's could hold that nicely that's all I need to know :)

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

Which amps are you using, and what vehicle is it going in?

The D1400 is good for 3000watts for daily and 1500watts for comp. They work great in the vehicle we have running them now, and there is a substantial increase in the system power. Just have to have a way to charge around 16.8v and should be good.

Amps will take up to 18v, car is 2002 Impala. Well I got a DC power 270xp and I'll have my VCM by next week :yahoo:

So sounds like the 3 1400's is the way to go.
