Autruche
A 3000 watt amplifier will draw a little over 300 amps. Optimally you would need over 300 amps worth of alt. The current has to come from somewhere. Either batts or alts. Preferably alts. They make their own power and batts just regurgitate the power alts put in them. Eventually they become drained and cause a whole list of problems. What car do you have? Well it's true if he drives around all day listening to a single tone at full tilt, but realistically playing music it would probably need like 120-150 steady to be played really loud all day, so I'd stick with my original guess of like a 220 amp. Nice to see that a manufacturer can jump in and help the little guy now and then though. Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves?
