Hunter Spivey
Okay, so I basically started watching Steve's videos a while ago and it really got me into car audio. Now I have my car ready to go, I don't know what I should get in the trunk. This is my first system and I have around $750 dollars to spend (Including wiring and everything, not just subs) and I need advice on what to get. I was thinking about getting these http://cgi.ebay.com/2-QUANTUM-15-6000w-SUBS-HIFONICS-BRZ1700-1D-BRUTUS-AMP-/350351324039?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item519290f387#ht_5304wt_1137 But I don't really know. I really need some guidance and advice from a experienced audio enthusiast, because I'm so new to all of this. All and any advice is welcomed! I also have a hatchback car, 2003 Hyundai Tiburon Gt, so I can't get something extremely huge.

zachfowler222
if i was you i would just go with some 12's or even some 10's or 8's they are cheaper and some get really low i have heard 2 10's get lower and sound better then some 15s. and if you get those that only really leaves you with 100 at most. i would get some 10's and build a box or get on off the internet or check some local shops for some and then you will have a little more money left over, for wires, door speakers, and other things Quote I SCAM PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY... Guest
dont get that box, or that sub amp combo. 2 totally shitty choices. tell us your budget (specifically for what, like subs and amps or sub and amp and box and wires etc) and what kind of space you have in your car (in inches for width depth and height). Slawsen
Tiburon's have big trunks...you got plenty of space btw that amp will stress your stock system, especially if you don't do the big 3 upgrade or get a better/second battery. I would keep it around 1k watts on sub and under 500 watts on doors. If you just get those quantums, you will never hear the music, lol. 550$ on subs and amp is cutting it close considering youd have to build a box, get a good headunit, and all your wiring. Like $750 for everything in the car. I'm not really concerned with the highs and lows just yet, now I'm just thinking about the bass in the back and a headunit possibly. I just want the most bass for my money. So if you guys have any specific subs and amps that you would recommend just shoot me a link. Thanks for all the tips! I don't know the exact dimensions, because I wouldn't know how to measure with the hatchback and it being angled. Also if ported is the same thing as vented, apologies for being so new to this, I would want that. Guest
for woofers look at www.Ficaraudio.com www.audioque.com and www.dcsoundlab.com way better IMHO than the stuff that is manufactured on an assembly line that everyone runs lol.
