Ok guys, My wife has 2 Alpine type r 12's off a crunch 1500.1, a sony deck and stock speakers..Sounded damn good for a while. So, i had a 4 ch amp just laying around, along with some american bass 6.5's. I wanted to upgrade her mids and highs so i installed the amp and speakers. Now, for some strange reason, everytime i hit a bump, i hear this loud bass line coming from the subs!! I didnt touch the subs or sub amp at all! Only put the mids and highs amp in!! When i unplug the 4 ch, it goes away!!!! WTF!!! It only does it when I drive or hit some bumps..When sitting at a light, its fine!! Can u help??

check that the speaker wires are not touching the car, and check all grounds, that all I can think of.

The speaker wire from the subs? Or the speaker wire from the mids and highs? Becuz the subs speaker wire is tucked out of the way, didnt have to touch that amp, but my mids and highs speaker wire is just laying around but they are connected good. Now, i did use a distibution block for my grounds!! Should I take that out and just run two seperate grounds?

check the speaker wires make sure they aren't grounding to the door or anywhere else that would effect the subs as well feeding to the amp then the rcas to sub oh and yes always seprate grounds

I ment your mids and highs, as you stick the speaker in the terminal or wire may touch the metal of the door, this will make some weird shit on your grounds, messing with both amps. A distrobution block is fine for grounds, just again, check the actual ground to the car from the distro block. Just double check everything, something is touching the ground on bumps, so check if it's close or could touch on a bump.

And check your RCA's, some work better for car audio amps than others...

I have Knukonceptz rca's! And i do think i did a shitty job back there becuz i jus went out and looked and my block somehow is resting on top of my sub amp!! Mustve came loose becauz when i first hooked everything up, it sounded great the first day or two. Over bumps and everything!! I took off the block and seperated the grounds and reran my mids and highs speaker wire and voila, good clean music!!!! Thanx alot guys!!!!!
