rumproast789
I was demoing my system, and after I was done I turned it down, and some time in between that it started saying protect mode. I don't know why it is doing this, I pressed the reset button and it did nothing. Does anyone know what this could be? I'm thinking its a short probably with my speakers somewhere.... dugee81
bump do you have a DMM? if so, test each speaker lead going to the HU to check the ohm load, i think if it is disconnected it wont show, and if its grounding out you might get some crazy result. It seemed fine at the crossover, Should I try it at the headunit harness? JayP
I have same headunit. Unplug harness, or battery and put it back. See if that works.

I went over every connection basically, redid it all. and Yeah, I believe unplugging the harness worked.
