BlockShaker Posted July 22, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 22, 2007 Today, I finished it off, but one problem............he brung me the wrong Optima Yellow Top so I have to put the old battery back in for now until he gets a new one next week. Also, he had the 12W7 in its H.O. Ported Box that didn't fit in his trunk. I wasn't able to build him a new box because the shop where he got the sub from told him he will lose his warranty if the enclosure is not made by an authorized dealer. I've never heard of that shit before, but anyways they just made some money. The new box is a sealed enclosure. I tested the H. O. Ported Box and I had it on the back seat and it was way louder than the new sealed enclosure. Most of the previous install was taken out by the owner accept for the wiring. The amps were mounted on the back seat and the 1000/1 had fell and one RCA head broke in it. I had to take the amp apart to pull it out. This system is rated at 140 AMPS with a 100 amp fuse to the 1000/1 and a 40 amp fuse to the 300/4. You're not going to believe this but the previous install had a 60 amp glass fuse for the whole system and he was wondering why he kept blowing fuses.
