Amp gets VERY hot to the touch, what could cause this?

how did you set your gains?

What is your ground connected too?

Gains were set with a DDM at 48.9volts = 300 rms each.

Would clipping be something to think about here? i did not use a oscilloscope or nothing to check for clipping, i don't have access to one.

(1) Alpine Mrp-m1000 @4Ω

(1) Pioneer Deck Deh-3500

(1) American Legacy 1.0 Farad Capacitor

(1) Stinger Voltage Meter (Blue)

Big 3 Knu 1/0

Box 3.4^3@37hz
