vnzla0103 Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 For anyone in the business of performance upgrade S & J engines inc in spokane washington is the worst company i have ever dealt with. 2 months ago my motor that i purchased from them a year ago began to knock in the bottom end. i called to order a new short block being that the oil pressure dropped and i knew the oil pump failing spun the bearings. i spoke to a man that told me my engine was cover under warranty and the arrainged shipping from florida back to washington. upon arrival they informed me that my motor was not under warranty and it would be 1250 to fix or 300 for me to get back. i personally spent thousands of dollars for them to build this and now im stuck with no engine at. i refuse to spend another red penny with this company and hope that anyone that takes the time to read this doesnt either. Sincerely SGT Santos

SlappinM30 Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 If you haven't figured this out with this lesson, don't buy a motor over the mail. Deal with a local shop for such things, or better yet spend some time and learn to do it yourself. I have built heck easily 10 motors over the years and it is not that hard and it is fun. If you do decide to give to try it yourself hit me up maybe there is something that I can help you figure out. At this current time my buddy and I are waiting for the parts to build a 418 stroker LS1 for our '63 race truck. 2 15"s Re-coned with a Custom re-cones with DD 9500 coils, Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bd, Designated Aux. 190 amp Alt@ 15.5 volts, Duel High Rate Aux.
