dcofer
I have a hifonics BXI1606 amp and a Power Acoustiks SL4-1000 (thanks to sean) and right now i am running 4 gauge to my hifonics and was wondering if i can just ad another wire from my cap to power the PA amp. would this be okay or would i have to upgrade my wires and get a spliter from say 2 gauge to two 4 gauge. thanks, Derek
majorpayne
What size wire do you have going to the cap from the battery in the front? Two 4 gauges off of the cap should be ok as longas the 4 gauge is a short run.
dcofer
from the battery to the cap is 4 gauge, the wiring for the PA amp would be like a foot long and the wirre to the hifonics is liek a foot long as well

majorpayne
Thats gonna be pullin alot of power off of the one run of 4 gauge... you would be better off to run 1/0 back to your cap and then run two 4 gauges off the cap to the amps.... kingsuv
if 1/0 wire is out of the question rhen at least add more runs of 4 gauage. Also look for a welding supply store for wire, they will have it cheaper. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
