look at the kbs rating on itunes or windows media player higher teh beter

What's your box tuned to? Could've been playing way under tuning which would do the same thing.

right now i have a prefab ported box and tuned to 45hz. but i have the cross over on amp set low like 40hz and the subsonic set low

its prob that box imo. Thats a high tuned box, and prefabs suck. Why not build your own so it's tuned lower? you'll like it 10x better.

Yeah that's definitely your problem. You're prolly playing songs in the low 30s, high 20s. To keep your subs safe, your subsonic should be around 40hz...which you're not going to like the way that sounds.
