marquettefan247
So I got this double din for my car to give it a stock look but with better features. And I have done all my work before this on my car had 2 previous head units in there no problem. So I hook this all up and bam nothing it has something ive never seen before. It has a ground that u hook to the body and not the other ground. This confuses me ive tried many things checked everything 10x too. Also heres the deck http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_21600_Eclipse+CD1200G.html Quote 1995 Ford Mustang 3.8l V6 5 Speed Plans: 2 12 inch dc Level 4s DC 2.0k Amp KCA 1/0 Power Amplifier Installation Kit 220 Amp Alt XS Power 12V D925 AGM Battery Stinger Volt Gauge Rockford Fosgate RCAs Box built from birch. bassfiend316
Just ground it to something metal behind the dash. A lot of decks are like that...

bassfiend316
Sure. Tape it off so there wont be any issues, but it doesn't need to be hooked up. May even cause a ground loop if you try hooking up the deck to factory ground.

bassfiend316
Both power wires hooked up right? Sounds like constant power to both. Does the car keep the radio on til the door opens or anything like that with the stock radio?

bassfiend316
Honestly, I have no experience with that harness. I don't know if the colors match up correctly or whatever. A quick google of the gm2000 didn't help much, some people have this problem, and the only suggestion I saw was to get a new harness. Nobody ever said if it worked or not lol. Maybe somebody more familiar with the setup can help. But you said you've had other aftermarket decks in the car before, right? So it should still work...idk.
