My friend gave me a few red LEDs to put into my headlight housing to match up with my underbody LED's (and soon grille lights). Will a single LED burn out if its hooked up directly to the battery? Is there anything I can use to act as a fuse (if there is one to handle such a small draw in current)?

i would check state laws to check if they aprove this cause if your not with some sort of emergency service u could get fined for impersonating an emergency person and could cost more than all the other shit to do with this

but on a side note, if there regular 3v or les leds u can run them on 12v but u need a resistor inline with it to raise the resistance so it can handle the voltage

here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp

its illegal, I know. I never drive with stuff like that turned on though because I try not to be a douche bag when possible.

like stated above if the leds are 3 volt youll need a resistor, or you could wire 4 in series so resistors wouldnt need to be used

fml.. well I look smart now :noob:

since I already fail, I will take one more stab at it. Take the negative of one and hook it to the positive of the next and so fourth?
