I plan on using the orion xtr's or xtr pro's. they require max 3 cubic foot per sub for vented enclosure by the spec sheet. I will be doing 2 amps for each set of 3 subs. my question is it recommends using round port or vent, but since im doing 6 should i build the box with 1 port for all subs, or 2 ports for each set of 3 or a port for each sub???? if so does anyone have any idea what size port to use? any help is appreciated!!!
dlesman Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 I would do 1 nice slot port. In terms of how big, what is the total cubic feet that your box is gonna have?
EricR Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 18 cuft with 230-260 sqin of port. 9" wide by 27" high would give you 243. 18" deep would give you a tuning of ~34hz i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
