hernandez1
i have a problem with my alpine mrp-m1000 amp. when the system has been playing for a while the amp shuts off i think it overheats.its mounted behind fold back seat in a 2002 impala. the amp is powering a kicker l7 15". i also have an alpine mrp-f300, both amps are powerd by one main power 1 guage wire. the power wire is split to amps at the capaciter out put. Is this a bad design in my part
Toady
SOunds like an overheating problem, try getting a cooling fan, or just moving it to a different spot with more air circulation
dugee81
Can you fold the seat down? Maybe that and have your windows open for air circulation 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm
ALPINE408
Bigger wire can not allways help heating problems. The problem happens when drawing lots of current and bigger wire can hold more current And when I say wire I mean power and ground also voltage drop can cause this Have you ever had your woofers blown?
