Team_DC-Derrick Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) You do not need a HO alt and 2 batteries for only 2k watts. can you quit giving bad advice? lets say he has a 60 amp alt or 90 amp alt, like most cars out there... your saying a 90 amp alt, that uses 60 amps of it to run the vehicle and accessories. that extra 30 amps is enough to keep the batts charged on 2kw? dude... please just stop... OP ive ran 3kw on the bare minimum and it sucks, your looking at alot of voltage drop, and can eventually fuck your shit up... I would do like the other guy said and get atleast a 180 amp alt and the kinetik 1800 up front and maybe a 2400 in the back..
