Please Please stop posting, you have no idea about setting gains apparently. Yes, you have to scope your headunit so you know where it starts clipping. BUT you still have to scope your amp so you set the gains below the point where it starts clipping. YES, thats right, I said it. You can feed an amp and unclipped signal and if the gain is too high on the amp it will....... drum roll please...... CLIP!!!! Just because you have your gain set below half, doesn't mean shit, what if your HU puts out like 6v or higher at the preouts?
