Works good for some people, others have problems. Has a tar smell to it for a few days. But it is the cheap way of sound dampening. In other words, "you get what you pay for"

I'm pretty sure it takes like 4 layers to be as good as second skin. You'd be better off with the real stuff.

I understand the need for sound dampening on a budget. Check out elemental designs. Awesome shit for $1 and $2 a sq ft. Also eBay for Fatmat. I would NOT use roofing material shit from lowes

I thought it was the same pretty much as the lowes roofing stuff. I may be wrong though.

use the rubbery stuff its in the same section as that stuff its grey and it comes in white plastic go to my build and watch the video i show it then its 9" wide and 33' long for 20 bucks there is no smell what so ever and the backing is a rubbery plastic that stretches and forms to the shape you want WAY better than peal n seal but same concept

if its rattles that are bugging you, and money is tight, just get a roll of foam tape (weather stripping) and put it on the rattling piece. works wonders and it only costs a few bucks.
