A guy came into the store today who is an avid bike rider, he was telling me to stay away from the big padded seats and stay with the narrow streamlined seats that are padded. My bike has the narrow seat now with very little padding, I somehow doubt that a little gel covering could make that much of a difference. Any thoughts guys? The Jenson USA site is nice. Thanks for the link. These seats are not that expensive, guess I just keep buying and trying til I find the right fit.

Those gel pad coverings like this

Work wonders for the buttocks. they will definitely help you get used to riding again. You can find them at wal-mart. They have like a 1"- 1 1/2" shock absorbency.

When I was living in St. Paul, MN I rode like 5 miles a day for work and on the weekends around 15-20 miles. Of course in the spring/summer months. Damn I really miss those days :(

The reason the bicyclist said to get a slim-line seat is it takes some of the pressure off from the bones on your butt.

lol

The seat you suggested are only good for shorter rides. :good:

Then again he's riding with his son and not with someone like me who rides 3-10 miles almost everyday.

Some people could care less about who the genius is that is making the product... They just want to get it cheap and say "derrrr, look at teh pretty lights in muh dash!"
