benz280se Posted August 19, 2010 Report Share Posted August 19, 2010 well i have this alt i just bought to upgrade my wiring only thing is the alt one this car has a plug for the wires instead of a post, so big three just got complicated. in the pic i was told that the small post is the one that goes to the batt. heres where i need ideas how to upgrade the wire going to the alt and batt? replacing all the wire for lower gauge is a real nightmare so i must keep the existing wire and find a way to add the 0ga or close to it to the alt. changing the wire in the plug isnt an option either since that will also be a wiring nightmare. i was going to use female quick disconnects to go from the batt to the other posts on the plug since i dont neeed to upgrade those. any body have any ideas for the remaining connection? the new alt is already in the car this one is the old spare.
