sactownstang Posted August 4, 2007 Report Share Posted August 4, 2007 I have a CRX and have 2 RF T4001 amps that are modified for 16V use. I thought it would be no thing to buy a alt for 16V, run a kinetik battery in the front that has a 12V post and run the car with the 12V Just the amps off the 16v. It now coming apparent this is not possible and others claiming a dual alt system would be best. Others told me just throw 3 16V batterys and their and recharge them after each db drag run. Can 3 batterys support 2 T4001 for a few burps with no alt? Any input appericated. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest MegaloManiac Posted August 9, 2007 Report Share Posted August 9, 2007 well my friend doug was running a 40.1 & pair of mts with a 2 bank of 2400s for burp(@12v). did a 154. the batteries werent even chraged, they were sitting in his garage for about a month. he had 4 2400s but 2 of them were modded and they were in a rush so they didnt want to spend the time to set those 2 up.
