box help

ok so i just orderd a fi ssd12 and im putting it in my 04 neon..would this box be to big for the sub or can i make it smaller..specs. width-34, heigth 15.5, depth 23.5..and will be tuned to 34hz.also i will be using 3/4 mdf..i also used to RE enclosure calculator..but i just want to be sure first sense it will pretty much be my entire trunk space

dont use RE's calculator, its shit. go in the enclosures section of the forum and download Torres' calculator. it MAY be advanced for you but press F1 and you get help, if you have further questions go ahead and ask away on here lol. but go with what fi states, i dont know off the top of my head (and im too lazy to go and look at the moment) but stick within those 2 numbers they give.

ok well i used it..and i do not understand it at all...so iv changed the mesurments and the space i can work with is width 34, height 15.5 and depth 11..that should come out to 2.5cuft.and thats the biggest the sub calls for..now can some one plz figure out the port for me and the mesurments for it..the sub calls for 33hz..the calculator wasnt showing me the cuts for the port and i just didnt understand what to do with the ports

what's wrong with the RE calculator?

It gets confused on L shaped slots. Calculates the back piece incorrectly.

I have also seen Torres have issues.

Use them to get started and then check everything and adjust as required.
