2100 rms amp question

getting the new hifonics BRZ 2100.1d today.

im going to be getting 2 AQ HDC3 12's (dual 2ohm)eventually

but right now, i have 2 kenwood w3012 (4ohm each) 400 rms each

i got em wired down to 2 ohms. and the amp puts out 1400 watts at 2 ohms

so my question is, if i dont use the whole 2100 watts the amp puts out, does the amp still draw the same power as it would in 1 ohm?
