Carroot1 Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Sorry guys im new to subwoofers. I have two 15 inch kicker comp subs and an alpine mrp m500 amp. the kickers are rated at 50-250 rms each with a peak of 500 watts. Is my amp feeding them to the maximum wattage rms? Thanks guys Quote
ant the ninja Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 That amp pushes 500wrms at 2ohms so run your subs at that and each one will see 250rms, Yes, that is the maximum amount of rms you will be safe with. Dont ever go by peak, it means nothing. Quote 2002 Ford Explorer XLT Front Stage: Crescendo CCX 6.5's Rear Stage: ??? Two 15" Powerbass M154 Audiopipe AP15001d Pioneer DEH-P5100UB

Thanks I'm very interested to learn about car audio, currently im debating weather or not to build a ported enclosure for my subwoofers and what to tune it at. Any ideas or website that could help? DynamikT Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 (edited) Im not too keen on kicker subs but please do tell us how good they sound once you've wired it all up. Edited September 9, 2010 by DynamikT Quote
