bumpincruiser Posted August 28, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 28, 2007 depending on your pockets i say go for the 2607d ......... they are fair in price and very dependable. hifonics has been known to be slightly overrated but i'm sure you'll still get a good 2500rms out of that amp with the proper electrical system behind it. so you dont think i can run a stock electrical with it? dmanson Posted August 28, 2007 Report Share Posted August 28, 2007 so you dont think i can run a stock electrical with it? if my 04 expedition stock alternator is taking on a punch 450.4 and two hifonics brutus bxi1500ds with no problem then you should be okay. now i remind you that i'm running 1/0 gauge for power/ground, i've done the big 3, one yellowtop optima and two 1.0 digital capacitors(they'll be going away once i'm back in the state). i'm still getting an HO alternator in case i decide over the 2607d and go bigger or even add two 2607d stapped together. i say get the amp and run it and see how your trucks electrical holds up. good luck 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative.
