using a dmm..

Okay so I just picked up a dmm from advanced auto parts.

that to be exact. I need to set up my Stinger volt meter, what do I do here?

and then I need to set my gain (1000w mono @ 1 ohm) (I know to set the 50hz note on repeat and turn headunit to 75%).

the cover on the stinger volt meter should pop off. do that and there will be a small dial you can fit a flathead screwdriver in. hook you dmm up to your cars battery and then whatever it reads out you adjust the voltmeter to said amount.

oh and make sure your dmm is set to 20v dc

okay so I set up the volt meter(sitting at 14.1ish at idle, now trying to set the gain w/ the dmm. I turned the HU about 75% of the way up. put on a 45hz sub/amp test tone and tried to get it right. I need 31.6 but I couldn't even get past like 5? am I doing this wrong? I set the dmm to 200 w/ the V~.

is that wrong? lol
