Rockbrook Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 ok let me first start off by saying i hate making threads like this, makes me feel like a nooB but i just wanna make sure im doing it right and not wrong.So here we go... i wanna hook my amp up to my frontstage Component set, all i have to do is run speaker wires from amp to the speakers correct?(of course the RCA's to the H/U, remote/power/ground to their respectable locations.) and last but not least which amp you guys think would make my Comps sound better? Power Precision PC250-Does 50x2 @4ohms or Dual XIA2460- Does 100x2 @4ohms which do you think will get loudest but be clear at the same time? Edit: forgot to include my Component set. i have the Alpine SPS-600C component set.

Bumpin the TWP Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 I have a Pioneer GM-D9500F 4 channel amp for my speakers. Works amazing got it for $200 when they first came out. Amazing efficiency and completely clear sound, Plus it puts out 125 Watts pre channel RMS so it can do more. Bumpin the TWP Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 With that component set there is an inline crossover so on the woofer there is 4 prongs: 1 woofer + 1 woofer - then there is tweeter outs, 1 + and 1 -. so the speaker wire goes from the amp to the woofer + and - then the tweeter + and - hook up to the tweeter outs on the woofer. Rockbrook Posted October 1, 2010 Author Report Posted October 1, 2010 I actually have mine wired a lil different from that pic, but I still have the positive wires connected to the Larger Connectors on the woofer and the negative wires connected to the smaller Terminals.
