Adding A Home Sub To A Shitty Amp

ok guys, i wanna do something here, i got a Clarion 12" sub in an enclosure. problem is that it isn't powered. so i was wondering if i could put both +'s from the amp to the + on the sub and both -'s from the amp to the sub WITHOUT blowing the amp, because i already blew/overheated my other amp from playing Hypnotize.

so my current amp is running at 15-30 rms. after a few minutes it starts to get a little warm, so i want to use it and connect it to the sub and play some Mekanik.
