dugee81 Posted October 7, 2010 Report Share Posted October 7, 2010 The thing is my 3 subs will only handle 600-700 rms each so a 3000 watt amp even if it is running around 2500 rms will still leave me in fear of popping them and i dont like always thinking they might blow and easing on the volume, i like to play full tilt at all times. just because it states to do 3000wrms @ 2 ohm, doesnt mean you have to set it that high. that and factor in that it will be @ 2.67, and you will have box rise more than likely. these are just suggestions. using a DMM, set the AC voltage to 73 volts (~2000 watts) as opposed to whatever the AC voltage would be for 3000.
