Colin - STAPUFT Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 i know exactly what you mean, and i can lol the best part of having a system affecting your ears is when you get done swimming, sit in your vehicle. turn it all the way up. and wait for the water to start running out of your ears lol feels kinda cool too I vouch for this! It works! If you have been swimming and you can't get your ears right afterward- the bass will clear them right up. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. matt402 Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 you mean the 0db part? this is a funny topic. we have all basically tested hearing loss and came to conclude that you lose hearing at the frequency that is played. since 40hz isnt something we hear daily, we wont ever notice it. but the hairs in your ears are shaped like a snail shell. the low frequency hairs are all the way in the back so that 150db at 40hz is blasting by all the other hairs. it should be destroying them but... correct. A weighted decibels are higher frequencies that are more common. these frequencies hurt ur hearing over time bcuz it vibrates the lil hairs (cilia) in ur ears faster & burns them, u cant grow these hairs back, thats why hearing loss is permanent. lower frequencies (SPL ) are C weighted decibels.
