fmedina Posted October 11, 2010 Report Share Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) so im wanting to build a new box for my aq hdc3 12" in a 98 olds intrigue goin in the trunk. is there anyone out there with experience that would like to give up some time for a fellow smd member and draw out or tell me bout a nice ported enclosure design? this will be my first box build so all help would be greatly appreciated. and once i start on the build i will post pics and updates in all credit to my designer lol. I have a 02 Monte Carlo that i have tried a couple box designs with different subs. 12"s sealed facing back 15"s sealed forward 15"s ported subs up port forward 18" sub up port forward 15"s subs and port forward @ about 42 hertz 15"s subs back(inverted) ports forward(tube ports) @35 hertz This is my current setup, and was a HUGE gain(by ear) over any other setup. 15"s subs and port(tubes) forward @35 hertz But i think i need to cut my amp rack down some.
